Orem Summerfest June 2013

We love going to our town's summer carnival every year. We didn't stay too long this year though because it was so crazy crowded! It took all evening just to get the kids on two rides. We could barley move through the crowd with our stroller. It got frustrating so we left just before they started the fireworks. 

Marmaduke

Also at the end of May we got a new puppy! He is a pure golden retriever and Will named him Marmaduke but we just call him Duke. He was 9 weeks when we brought him home and Kita was not so sure about him. She took a few weeks to get used to him. You can tell by the photos here that she doesn't like him yet.
So he grew really fast and is 6 months old now and already looks full grown. He only stayed this cute and little for a month or so. I'll have to get a new picture of him. Kita and Duke get along now but he is way bigger than her and he uses it to his advantage. When they play he always tries to sit on her and hold her down. He is definitely the annoying little brother.

New Garden

In May we re-did our garden area. Well, my wonderful husband did most of it. He is really good with the manual labor. He bought some railroad ties and cut some of them in half. Those suckers weigh a ton! He carried them from the driveway all the way to the back corner of the yard. I was afraid that he would drop one on his foot or something but he managed it. What a stud!

Rachel was good help too. She helped spread all the rocks around. Finally a garden that will stay weed free!

Bailey's birthday!

Bailey turned two on May 26th. We had a bbq in the back yard and her favorite treat. I made her a cake out of donuts. 

best mother's day ever!

My husband is so wonderful and sneaky. On saturday he let me sleep in and I woke up to french toast and flowers. Then he took the girls for a "hike" so  I could have the house to myself for a while. Here are pictures of what I woke up to Sunday morning (he let me sleep in again and made breakfast again). A couple years ago I lost my nice digital camera and I've been missing it. But its really expensive so we hadn't replaced it yet. So guess what he bought for me while he was in Hong Kong! I also got a loaf of blueberry/lemon bread from our favorite bakery ( notice a chubby little finger found its way through the plastic wrapper before I even saw it) and a Doctor Who tshirt (its an awesome show that you all should watch). The best gift of all was the poster he and Rachel made with pictures he took of the girls (with the new camera) while they were out Saturday morning. I was so touched by it all, I cried! I am just feeling so happy and blessed right now!
